I feel like past link would overtake future in a very classic-type duel, but because he’s so disarmed emotionally rn AND Because he knows that he would win, future is able to overtake him with his scrappy fighting style that past doesn’t expect at all. he didn’t take the time to realize that future is both completely different than him and also doesn’t follow the same rules he does and it upsets him every time future link breaks those
